2011 Hug Fund Campaign - One in a Million
Once again, HCR ManorCare employees have joined together in support of one another, and this year have raised $1,060,627 for their fellow employees in need. This is a dramatic increase from our first Hug Fund campaign goal of $250,000 in 2005, a testament to our compassionate and generous co-workers.
The focus of the 2011 campaign was on increased participation, not on dollars, although both dollars and participation increased. Thirty of our HCR ManorCare business entities achieved 100 percent employee participation, with ManorCare Health Services of Fargo, North Dakota leading the way as the top fundraiser for the second year in a row.
Despite the current state of our country’s economy, HCR ManorCare employees continue to care for one another in times of catastrophic financial distress, just as family members would care for each other. It is this same compassion that sets our company apart in all of our communities. Our employees are our greatest asset.
